A new addition to the firm in 2013, Mr. Bean has 28 years of investment banking experience and 25 years of municipal financing experience. He has extensive airport and transportation finance experience as both an investment banker and financial advisor. Mr. Bean joined FRASCA from Jefferies where he was the lead advisor for that firm’s longstanding financial advisory relationship with the Denver International Airport, for which he assisted in managing a nearly $4 billion portfolio of debt including fixed rate bonds, floating rate bonds, auction rate securities and interest rate swaps. In addition to DIA, Mr. Bean has provided advisory services to the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority and Jacksonville International Airport and has served as either a financial advisor or investment banker to transportation entities including the New York MTA, Chicago Transit Authority, Arizona Department of Transportation, Harris County Toll Road Authority and Baldwin County Bridge Company.
In addition to public finance, Mr. Bean spent three years of his investment banking career specializing in mergers and acquisitions and capital structure for corporate clients when Dillon Read left the municipal finance business in 1997. While at Dillon Read, Mr. Bean also spent a year with the firm’s municipal sales and trading desk developing quantitative strategies and performing relative value analysis for the municipal sales force.
Mr. Bean received a Bachelor of Science in Cinema and Photography from Ithaca College and an MBA in finance from the State University of New York at Albany.
